March is already less than a week away--which means a whole bunch of new content hitting HBO Max. Some of that content will be available on March 1, while other shows and movies will be available a little later next month.
On March 12, the thrill-ride hit that's been Season 1 of The Last of Us will come to a close. In January, the post-apocalyptic game adaptation was already renewed for a Season 2. The series enjoyed the network's second-biggest debut after the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon. Earlier this week, HBO released a trailer for Episode 7, which suggests the show will seemingly start to go back in time before proceeding forward. Warning: Spoilers ahead. The latest trailer begins with Ellie getting into a fight at a FEDRA boarding school, and also gets into Ellie's relationship with Riley. The next episode of The Last of Us premieres Sunday.
March 26 brings the Season 4 Premiere of Succession, a show that's just as violent as The Last of Us--only emotionally, not with actual guns and stuff. The series follows a dysfunctional family that runs a media empire. A logline released by HBO is as follows: «In the 10-episode season four, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer. The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.»
Below is a list of all the content coming to HBO Max in March. Here's our rundown for Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu next month.
