A visual bug in Hogwarts Legacy somehow managed to make the main character glow like the sun. Hogwarts Legacy came out in February on PC and current-gen consoles, with a positive reception from both fans and critics. It was also scheduled to release on PS4 and Xbox One in April, with a Switch edition coming later, but the previous generation version of Hogwarts Legacy was recently delayed to May 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy’s launch was not without its issues, as some users ran into all sorts of bugs and glitches in the game. As an example, one Hogwarts Legacy bug turned the main character invisible, making it seem like the user is playing as Highwing instead. Now, another visual glitch in Hogwarts Legacy makes the character look as bright as the sun.

A Reddit user named OrionFOTL has shared an image from Hogwarts Legacy with this bug, and fans can immediately spot that there is something wrong with the way the main character looks. As seen in the picture, the player is shining with almost blinding light, making it impossible to see their facial features or clothes. Hogwarts Legacy allows players to fully customize the main character, but that feature has been rendered pretty much useless as a result of this bug.
Many users in the comments make references to the Lumos Maxima incantation, with one fan stating that this image is the result of casting Lumos with a broken wand. OrionFOTL refutes this claim, before sharing a picture of what their character looks like under normal lighting conditions. Additionally, OrionFOTL confirms that they are playing Hogwarts Legacy with a few mods installed, which could have triggered this bug.
