Since the early generations of gaming, two icons have been locked in a battle for supremacy and conquest. Ok, it’s not exactly that dramatic nowadays, but it did start out that way. Nintendo had been dominating the market with Mario and other franchises, and SEGA was the upstart that tried to dethrone them and nearly succeeded, depending on how you view things. With Sonic The Hedgehog as their mascot, they raced into the gaming space and succeeded considerably. More recently, they had two movies with Sonic that were big successes, only to be topped once again by Mario after he made his animated debut on the big screen.
But even with the Mario movie doing well, SEGA still has some tricks up its sleeve, not the least is the Knuckles the Echidna spinoff that’ll see Idris Elba reprising his role as the beloved character. Knuckles was the big addition to the second Sonic movie, and after it made a big splash at the box office, the team at Paramount decided that Knuckles needed to have his own series for their streaming service Paramount+.
Fast forward to now, and it’s been confirmed that the Knuckles series has started production and is allegedly going to be coming “soon” to the streaming service.

You might have questions about who will be starring alongside the red powerhouse and what the “purpose” of the show will be. Well, we know that Adam Pally, Tika Sumpter, Edi Patterson, Kid Cudi, Julian Barratt, Ellie Taylor, Rory McCann, and more will be showing up in the series.
