The upcoming Augmentation Evoker spec in Dragonflight Patch 10.1.5 may have inadvertently revealed the next Aspect of the Black Dragonflight! The icon for one of their new abilities, Black Aspect's Favor, looks suspiciously familiar to a character we've seen before. While several of the new Evoker Icons in Patch 10.1.5 feature several different looking Dragons, this one features a nose ring, very similar to that of Ebyssian/Ebonhorn's Highmountain Tauren form.
This could suggest that Ebyssian will become the new Black Dragon Aspect — a belief that many already hold due to his recurring role as the peacemaker between Sabellian and Wrathion during the ongoing Dragonflight campaign. Ebyssian, aka Ebonhorn, as seen in the Forgotten Reach.
This is where the similarities end, however. It's worth pointing out that the overall profile of the dragon featured in the icon does not match that of Ebyssian's dragon form, nor Wrathion or Sabellian for that matter.
None of their dragon forms currently have a nose ring either, although it would not be surprising if the future Aspect received a new model to go along with their new status. Ebyssian, Sabellian, and Wrathion's current dragon forms.
You could even argue that it resembles pre-Deathwing Neltharion, whose horns better match those seen in the icon, despite also not having a nose ring. Then again, it could just be reading too much into creative license and we will simply have to wait and see which of Neltharion's sons, if even any of them, will eventually take up the mantle.
