EA has released a new patch for EA SPORTS PGA TOUR that brings a new course to select and a good bit of gameplay updates. Patch 3.0 introduces Oak Hill Country Club and in Career Mode, the PGA Championship will alternate between this new course and Southern Hills every season. Season 2 also introduces a new low-view camera height option to the zoom camera and also removes the zoom option when the golfer is within 70 yards of the pin. Players should see more lip-in and lip-outs due to updated cup physics and the camera will now automatically zoom in on the ball when it is close to the hole.
EA also fixed a good bit of bugs as the full details can be seen below. Some new commentary was added, as well, and this specifically ties in to eagle putts. New drop zones were also added for Augusta National. Fixes includes everything from the technical side to Tournaments and other modes. You can read the full blog for the update here.
In order to improve online matchmaking for all players, Social mode has been removed and Competitive mode has been renamed “Online”.
