We all knew that Croteam had already announced plans for a sequel to their hit first-person puzzle game The Talos Principle in the past, but we had yet to see any new details about said sequel ever since its initial announcement. At least until today’s PlayStation Showcase, that is, when all of a sudden, a reveal trailer for The Talos Principle II suddenly dropped. Oh, along with the reveal that it’s coming out later this year. Quite the pleasant surprise, to say the least.
As seen below, the presentation for the sequel has been beefed up rather considerably, which is appropriate considering that the game now sees you exploring a colossal megastructure. We don’t have any actual footage of the gameplay yet, though, but it’s said to involve puzzle similar to those in the original title, while adding in new gameplay elements such as mind transference and gravity manipulation, as well as presenting another story that promises to get quite philosophical. The Talos Principle II arrives later this year for PC, PS5, and XSX, so have your mental prowess ready by then.
