Eternights is an intriguing blend of action RPG and dating sim, with a supernatural setting and some rather disturbing imagery. We now know when it's coming to both PS5 and PS4; Save your date, and save the world on 21st September.
That is if you have the time. Consider that both the eagerly anticipated fighter Mortal Kombat 1 and Bloodborne-esque Soulslike Lies of P are launching two days earlier, on 19th September. Cooperative crime caper PAYDAY 3 comes out a few days later on 24th September. Then, on the 26th, Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion is out.
Many will still have their hands incredibly full with late August's onslaught of uniformly awe-inspiring titles: the Chrono Trigger-channelling Sea of Stars, legendary sequel Baldur's Gate 3, and the explosive Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.
Of course, Eternights isn't directly competing with any of these particular titles. Rather, it's launching into a stacked field, and with so many more identifiable names being bandied about, it runs the risk of being drowned out in all the noise.
Despite it all, we hope to find time to check out Eternights, somehow. What will you be playing in September, and how are you dealing with the deluge of games in 2023? Let us know in the comments section below.
