In the past Marvel’s Spider-Man titles, plumping up for the more expensive versions of the games would grant you “early access” to certain suits. Many fans had been hoping the same would be true of the Digital Deluxe Edition for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which is available to pre-order from today, and includes ten additional outfits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

However, speaking on social media, developer Insomniac Games has confirmed that’s not the case. “They’re exclusive to the Digital Deluxe Edition,” a spokesperson for the studio said on Twitter, when asked whether the costumes could be unlocked through gameplay. To be fair, the Burbank studio has already promised there’ll be a way to purchase the content separately, although it hasn’t said how much it’ll cost just yet.
