Mortal Kombat 1: How To Find & Beat Floyd (Secret Fight)
rekindles an old tradition of the series from its arcade days, introducing a new palette-swapped ninja named Floyd that you can find and beat. This secret character is so hidden that it has taken the community by storm as everyone searches for the best ways to encounter him. You can challenge this pink ninja for an amazing reward if you meet the right conditions.
Floyd refers to the band Pink Floyd, just like Rain was a reference to Prince and his hit song The appearance of Floyd harkens back to the original three arcade titles, which included secret fights against hidden ninja characters. While mostly just recolors of Scorpion and Sub-Zero, characters like Reptile, Ermac, and Noob Saibot wouldn't exist without their secret fights existing.
The inclusion of Conan the Barbarian as a DLC fighter to also added a patch to the game. At first, references to Floyd were small, with a message appearing during or at the end of matches seemingly at random. Players would sometimes see a pink logo with the word from time to time, prompting questions as to what secret the game was hinting toward.
Invasions have entered season 7 in Mortal Kombat 1. There are new Klues and Key Items. But, you will have to defeat Shang Tsung to win it all.
It was later datamined that Floyd is a secret fighter introduced in the Conan patch that can only be encountered when a player completes certain challenges. These challenges refer to optional goals throughout fights, which range from very specific tasks to arbitrary objectives. As a result, it has been notoriously hard to get messages, as fans have learned that everyone has their own unique requirements to meet.
The message will appear on the side of the screen where your character is. This will usually be on the left if you are Player 1, especially if you are going through Invasions or Towers of Time to complete Floyd-related challenges.
