Nintendo is absolutely on a roll right now, building up hype for the Switch 2 despite a number of leaks threatening to unravel years of hard work, and releasing incredible exclusive after incredible exclusive. It feels like after a strong era with the Nintendo Switch, the beloved video game company is showing no signs of slowing down. That is, naturally, amazing news for fans, but it doesn't help quell the very strong and ever-tantalizing desire for more news, more reveals, and, more importantly, more Nintendo Directs. These iconic events have become a highlight of every fan's year.
This is largely thanks to their immaculate presentation and the belief that one day, they'll finally reveal Silksong after years of waiting. However, Nintendo is typically tight-lipped about when the next Direct will air, usually only letting people know a day or so beforehand. Fortunately, that's where leakers come in handy, as these eagle-eyed fans manage to find information buried in the most unlikely of places that more often than not accurately pinpoints when the next Direct will be. It just so happens that, according to new rumors, the next Direct is sooner than some may think.
According to Reddit user cookiemaster221 (as reported by ComicBook.com), there is going to be a Nintendo Direct in early February. While the details given by the leaker are scarce, they believe that this Direct will continue the long-running tradition of hosting one in February, as it would release close to Nintendo's next earnings call, come months after the last Direct, and, most importantly, fall on the same day as the Sava Data Transfer maintenance. All of this is circumstantial, and naturally, people will have to wait until Nintendo officially confirms anything, but it's strong evidence to base assumptions on.
