Civ 7 Roadmap 2025: Leaders, Civilizations, & Update Schedule
The launch of Sid Meier's is just around the corner, and there are big plans for updates in its first year. Firaxis Games has shared a detailed schedule that includes both paid and free content to enhance the game throughout 2025. After the game launches on February 11, 2025, players can expect new leaders, civilizations, wonders, and gameplay events to keep things fresh and engaging.
The first major addition is called the Crossroads of the World Collection, which will be released in two parts in March. Firaxis has also mentioned that more collections will come later. In addition to new content for purchase, there will be significant free updates to fix bugs, balance the gameplay, and build on the user interface,so players have a lot to look forward to. The roadmap is just a piece of the huge changes has to make, so there may be more changes as time goes on.
The roadmap for 2025, shared in a dev diary on the official website, lays out a clear plan for new content and updates after the game's launch. Thedevelopers want to continuously add to the game by fixing bugs and balancing issues that players report. However, the big update will be the multiplayer features added over time. There will be more map options and player-requested features that weren't ready at launch, like a hot seat mode and the ability to choose starting and ending ages.
