Discord has announced(Opens in a new window) that it is rolling out themes for Nitro subscribers on desktop.
In a blog post, the instant messaging app popular with gamers said it is to launch 16 unique theme colors for its $9.99 a month Nitro subscribers. Unfortunately, the themes aren’t accessible to those on the cheaper Nitro Basic plan which costs $2.99 a month.

Desktop users can access the new colors by navigating to Settings and clicking Appearance where a new color section appears under the existing Light and Dark themes.
Nitro’s benefits include the ability to upload bigger files and send longer messages with a max 4,000 character length, as well as customize your profile, and 4K and 60fps streaming.

The project, which seeks to enhance what Discord offers and is free to download, offers a theming engine that lets users create custom themes. Earlier this month, the instant messaging platform rolled out an upgrade to its chatbot that uses OpenAI technology. In a post(Opens in a new window), the app said this about its AI-powered chatbot: “Clyde can now answer questions and have extended conversations with you and your friends. Just by typing @Clyde in a server, you can chat with Clyde in any channel.”
Discord is also testing out two other AI features that focus more on image generation. Avatar Remix allows users to
