Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have just released the latest major patch for Elden Ring, the massively popular open world RPG. It brings the game up to version 1.09, and the update is available now on all platforms, of course including PS5 and PS4. The main headline addition here is the implementation of ray tracing for the current-gen version.
Yes, all those horrible wet caves and shiny surfaces can now be shown with much more realistic reflections. Following the update, you'll be able to toggle this option on in the settings. However, Bandai Namco warns that frame rate and resolution «may be impacted» while ray tracing is active. To what extent we don't know, but hopefully it doesn't drag down performance too much.

The frame rate could be ropey without ray tracing..i'll try it but i doubt any respecting elden ringer will have it turned on all the time unless they hate their eye sight that much..
