Capcom has recently warned Resident Evil 4 remake gamers about a game-breaking bug that can be found at the very beginning of Chapter 12. According to the developers, this error occurs in a very specific situation. A cutscene will play during the first minutes of the chapter, and the player will get a key item. If players use the knife in the short period before the notification for actually gaining Luis' Key appears, the game will glitch and no item will be received, blocking further progress.
For those that aren't worried about potential spoilers and want to make sure they don't accidentally softlock themselves, the key item in question is called Luis' Key. At the moment, the issue can be found on all platforms. However, the developers of Resident Evil 4 have promised to iron out the bug in the next update.
