Sony Santa Monica Studio has released God of War Ragnarok update 04.01 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players. We're sure those trying out the New Game+ mode will appreciate its contents.
Last week, Sony released a major update for Ragnarok. In addition to adding the highly-anticipated New Game Plus mode, this patch included new challenges, new gear, upgrades for skills mods, revamped bosses, and more. Fast forward one week, and the team behind this amazing sequel has released a new patch, packing various bug fixes for encountered issues in the New Game+ mode. The arrival of the new update was announced on Twitter some hours ago.
This new patch updates the game version to 04.01 and comes with fixes for equipment and quests in New Game+ mode. In addition, the update addresses a rare crashing issue when loading some save files. This patch also packs various Trophy bug fixes in the New Game+ mode, including a fix for the "Dragon Slayer" trophy, which prevented players from earning this trophy if a player didn't craft the Dragon Scale armor during the game's first playthrough. There's also a fix for the "Phalanx" trophy. "If you receive the armor from the Lost Items Chest in the shop, you will need to restart or reload your game to get the trophy", the official patch notes read.
God of War Ragnarok is available globally now for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. The sequel was released back in November of last year. As covered in February of this year, the game managed to sell over 11 million units worldwide since its launch. Impressive numbers for sure, and in the UK, the game's launch sales managed to beat those of Elden Ring, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, and Pokémon Legends Arceus.
