Vampire Survivors DLC Update Adds New Characters, Weapons, and More

To close out the month, the team at Vampire Survivors pulled back the curtain on their second expansion, titled Tides of the Foscari. The DLC will be released in the coming weeks, just six months after the full release of Vampire Survivors, and will include new characters, items, weapons, and achievements for players to see and earn.

Created and developed by Luca «poncle» Galante, Vampire Survivors was the runaway indie hit of 2022. Between its affordable price tag, old-school graphical style, and addictive gameplay, the game caught the attention of many gamers across the globe. Vampire Survivors recently took home the BAFTA Award for Best Game. Back in December, Vampire Survivors also took home «Best Debut Indie» at The Game Awards. With the iron still hot, Vampire Survivors will release its second paid expansion just four months after the release of its first DLC, Legacy of the Moonspell.

Priced at $1.99 USD, Tides of the Foscari will release on Thursday, April 13, and is now available to add to Steam wishlists. Where Legacy of the Moonspell was inspired by the mountains and folklore of Japan, Tides of the Foscari looks to be closer to Vampire Survivors' European roots. The expansion will include a new stage located in Western Europe, called Lake Foscari. Leaning heavily on the fantasy tropes prominent in games such as Dungeons and Dragons and the Final Fantasy series, Tides of the Foscari will have 13 new weapons and perks for players to pick from, ranging from textbooks to swords and projectiles. In addition, eight new characters will be available to unlock, including a warrior named Maruto, a mage named Eleanor, a thief named Keitha, and Lumiaire, the guardian of Lake
