Well, that was quick. On Monday, we brought you the news that Legendary Entertainment had gobbled up the film and TV rights to Capcom's iconic Street Fighter series. Today, Legendary and Capcom have confirmed that a new live-action film is officially in production.
We know virtually nothing else, but if it follows the path laid down by the immortal 1994 action epic (which Capcom almost entirely financed, fun fact) of the same name, it will be campy, ludicrous, and utterly essential watching. It's more likely the film will adapt Street Fighter 6 or something, but we can dream, right?
