Miles Morales is many things, a geek, a hero, and of course, your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, even getting his own time in the spotlight in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. He is also apparently a Devil May Cry fan and of the character Vergil, in particular. In a new variant cover for an upcoming issue of Miles Morales: Spider-Man #9, artist Mateus Manhanini depicts the character in an iconic pose:
The rabbit hole goes deep indeed over on ResetEra, where a theory that Miles might, in fact, be a secret Capcom fanboy gained some traction. Apparently, the energy sword thing is a recent development for the character in the comics, an evolution of Miles' «venom strike» ability, which we absolutely hope makes an appearance in the upcoming Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
