Summer Game Fest organiser and host Geoff Keighley has just confirmed that over 40 publishers will be taking part in the event, which includes a live showcase on the 8th June.
Of course, knowing which companies are involved can lead to all kinds of speculation with regards to announcements and reveals. Potential headline acts include PlayStation (drop the bomb, Jim), Activision, Bandai Namco, Capcom, CD Projekt Red (that's Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty basically locked in), EA, SEGA, Square Enix (another look at Final Fantasy XVI?), and Ubisoft.
Given that E3 has been canned again this year, Summer Game Fest is going to be classed as a key opportunity for many a project. It's fair to assume that it could be quite an exciting event, even if bigger players like Sony will inevitably save all of their megatons for their own shows.

In Jeff we trust, keeping the e3 spirit alive. And if the games don't deliver, memorable cringe surely will.
Interesting seeing Amazon Games on there. That tells me there's a very good possibility that the new Tomb Raider could be shown.
Then with rumors of Uncharted 5 (starring Nate and Elena's daughter) after the last sizzler commercial and seeing Playstation will be there.
Then Microsoft will be there so Indiana Jones
