Elden Ring's New Update Makes Plenty of Builds More Powerful Than Ever
A small, but interesting detail about the runes players collect from defeating enemies was recently discovered by a Reddit user who goes by freetrolley42, who drew a fascinating parallel between the currency and the Erdtree that sits at the center of Elden Ring's map and story. When looking at the icon for runes and comparing it to the inside of a tree branch, they notice that both have a reasonably similar shape and freetrolley43 proposed that slices of the Erdtree's branches are what the runes are made out of.
This discovery has been disputed by several users commenting on the post.
