On Tuesday, March 21, the Acer Nitro 5 was launched in India. The updated 2023 model now comes with the AMD Ryzen 7000 series processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs and a 15.6-inch display. The laptop has been launched as a part of the Nitro 5 series which saw the 12th Gen Intel processor variant be released last year. The gaming laptop is now among the earliest to feature the AMD Ryzen 7000 series along with Asus which also released a wide range of laptops with the new processor. The 2023 edition of the Acer Nitro 5, equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen 7000 series processor, comes at a starting price of Rs. 79990. The gaming laptop is available on Flipkart, Acer e-Store and all Acer exclusive stores.
The Acer Nitro 5 2023 edition features a 15.6-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a refresh rate of 165Hz. The laptop also comes with a ComfyView feature to reduce light reflection and a support for AMD FreeSync technology. The company claims that the display has a 3ms response time.
The gaming laptop comes equipped with either the AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS hexa-core processor or the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS octa-core processor. The processor is paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card with 4 GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM. The laptop supports up to 32GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD storage. It contains two slots for M.2 PCIe SSDs.
The new Acer Nitro 5 also gets a MUX switch, which transitions between the iGPU and the dedicated GPU to bolster battery or performance. The gaming laptop is backed by a 57Wh battery along with a 180W charging adaptor.
