A new Valheim patch for PC and Xbox is being deployed, patch 0.214.300, which fixes the heightmap differences between Xbox and PC, and adds a new "Balanced" graphic setting for Xbox Series X|S.
After launching on Xbox earlier this month, we now finally have an update that addresses the annoying heightmap issue which caused differences between the Xbox and PC versions of the game. According to the developer, this new patch largely fixes most of these heightmap differences although some areas on Xbox will still have a major terrain change. "This means some areas in Xbox worlds will have a significant terrain change, and if you have built in these areas the buildings may unfortunately collapse", the development team explains.
In addition, this new update adds a new "Balanced Mode" graphical setting on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for those owning a compatible display. We've included the release notes for this new Valheim patch below:
