Sony has confirmed itsPS Plus free game line-up for April 2023, with Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Meet Your Maker, and Tails of Iron releasing on April 4. PS Plus subscribers will then have until May 2 to claim the games.
It's worth noting April 2023 is a bit of an unusual month for PlayStation Plus because one of the three games was actually announced early. Dead by Daylight Behaviour Interactive confirmed its upcoming title, Meet Your Maker, would be a day one PS Plus free game release. It is described as a post-apocalyptic building-and-raiding multiplayer game driven by community creations, where players must raid others, upgrade their arsenal, and more to save life on Earth. As a new multiplayer game, this could potentially be a huge launch for both Behaviour Interactive and the PS Plus service.
New Day One PS Plus Extra Game Adds 60 FPS Performance Mode
All three games will be available in native PS4 and PS5 versions for the Essential tier. Of course, anyone currently subscribed to PS Plus Extra or Premium will also be able to claim these games. Sackboy: A Big Adventure, as many know, is a platformer set in the LittleBigPlanet franchise. It launched alongside the PS5 in 2020, and while previous franchise entries were 2.5D platformers, this one includes full 3D movement.
Tails of Iron is a smaller soulslike indie game some folks may not have heard of, but it has solid reviews. It is a hand-drawn adventure RPG title with definitively brutal combat. Players must reclaim their thrown as the protagonist, Redgi the Rat, by assembling companions and defeating the Frog Clan. All in all, it's a strong line-up with a solid new multiplayer title, a PlayStation exclusive, and a soulslike indie game.
