Forza Horizon 5 Adds Tuning Options, Body Kits, and More in Free Seasonal Update

Forza Horizon 5 is getting its all-new Rally Adventure DLC on March 29, but developer Playground Games is also using the opportunity to deploy a substantial new seasonal update that's free for all players. Ever since FH5 launched in 2021, Playground has been putting out free post-launch content at a brisk pace, and this is seemingly bound to continue even after the supposedly final DLC pack comes out.

Notably, while there's a significant chunk of paid content being added with Forza Horizon 5's Rally Adventure that players will need to purchase, there seems to be no shortage of free goodies coming along too. Featured as part of the new seasonal update, Midnights at Horizon, this batch of content also includes DLSS 3.0 and steering wheel rotation support, lending more flexibility to the technical side of the game.

Forza Horizon Developers Leave Playground to Form New AAA Studio

Starting on March 30, Forza Horizon 5 players will be able to choose from 29 all-new body kit options available for select vehicles. The vast majority of these body kits have been designed specifically for rallying purposes, which makes sense considering the theme of the new Rally Adventure DLC. What's particularly interesting is that a number of vehicles (e.g. the 2011 BMW X5M) will now have the option of changing their tire profile size, which has been a long time coming to the game. Whereas the new anti-lag and launch control customizations have been shown before, tire profile editing hadn't previously been announced at all.

What this all means is that it's going to be even easier for players to build rally monster cars in Forza Horizon 5, even if they don't own the new rallying DLC. Being a large, open-world sandbox, FH5 is particularly conducive
