A new Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty patch is now live on PC and consoles, introducing a new feature that will allow players to increase the challenge level of the game as well as some other tweaks and quite a few fixes, including some PC-specific ones.
The biggest addition introduced in patch 1.06 is the new Inner Discipline feature. Thanks to this new feature, which can be accessed via the Battle Preparation and Battle Flag menus, it is possible to set a maximum Morale Rank for all missions, essentially allowing players to set a low max rank so as to make a mission more challenging. This is a rather big addition, as I've found the game to be much easier than other recent games from Team NINJA.
The new Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty patch also introduces changes to the Reinforcements menu so that a handshake icon will appear near the name of characters who already accompanied the players at least once, Set Bonus and Inner Discipline tutorials, and map icons indicating the location of Zuo Ci and the Blacksmith. The Elixir item has also been changed slightly, as the Moral Rank boost it provides is now treated as a temporary buff.
As already mentioned, the Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty 1.06 patch also brings tons of fixes, including some PC-specific ones, such as fixes for some mouse and UI issues. You can learn all the details on these fixes by going here.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty's low challenge level was one of the biggest issues I had with the game, so it is nice to see that Team NINJA is addressing criticism by providing options for those who want a real challenge. For the rest, the game is a solid action role-playing game that all fans of the Nioh series and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin will enjoy, despite more straightforward
