After previously announcing that it performed well, Koei Tecmo confirmed that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has sold over one million sales worldwide. It’s also had over 3.8 million players since launching in March, which likely accounts for Game Pass numbers from day one availability on the service.
The developer is currently “hard at work” on future updates, including the upcoming Season Pass story DLC. The first, Battle of Zhongyuan, will release in June 2023. The next DLC, Conqueror of Jiangdong, launches in September 2023, while the final story DLC, Upheaval in Jingxiang, arrives in December 2023.
Time will tell what future updates bring, but there may be additional New Game Plus playthroughs with new enemies, loot and other changes, much like the Nioh series. It remains to be seen if the Abyss or Underworld, a 999-floor end-game dungeon, is incorporated. Stay tuned in the meantime.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out our official review here.
