A new season means a new battle pass, DLC weapons, and more.

Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is inching closer, with a release date expected to arrive around mid-April. Here is everything already announced for the big update, plus some potential leaks for new operators in Season 3.
Based on the number of days left in the battle pass, Season 3 should arrive on or around Wednesday, April 12. These seasonal refreshes usually go live at around 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST.

A brand-new season of Call of Duty generally brings a new 100-tier battle pass to grind for new weapons and cosmetics. Seasonal passes usually contain at least one operator and two DLC weapons, and data miners are already finding possible hints for Season 3 in Modern Warfare 2's game files. While data mined info isn't a guarantee, it's very possible players could see the return of one of the most iconic sniper rifles of the Modern Warfare series--the Intervention--as it was among the weapons leaked. As for the battle pass operator, data miners leaked operator artwork and voice lines for Alejandro Vargas, Valeria Garza, and Alex Keller. It's uncertain who will be the battle pass operator, but one or more could become available in future store bundles or Raid rewards.
Additionally, the Season 3 update will likely include more game modes, maps, and additional weapon balancing and bug fixes for both Modern Warfare 2
