Fanatical’s New Realms bundle collects some of the coolest new indies of the last few years, offering $96 worth of PC games for just $9.
The seven-game bundle includes a few metroidvania titles like the side-scrolling action-RPG Elderand, which just released earlier this year. There’s also Clunky Hero, which is a narrative-focused metroidvania platformer with humorous dialogue and a unique hand-painted graphical style.
Fans of action roguelikes will likely enjoy Orbital Bullet, which is a side-scrolling 2.5D shooter where you blast waves of enemies in 360-degree circular stages.
Horror fans also have a lot to dig into in this bundle, too, like the minimalist adventure-horror game Escape the Backrooms where players explore spooky liminal spaces by themselves or with up to three friends in online co-op.
The DreadX Collection 2 and DreadX Collection 3 are also included in the bundle. These collections contain 12 tiny horror games from various development teams and published by DreadXP (for a total of 24 games). There’s also Restless Soul, a more lighthearted action-adventure game where you play as a ghost traveling through the afterlife that will be nice when you want a break from the scares while still indulging in those morbid vibes.
All seven titles in Fantical’s New Realms bundle redeem via Steam, and four of the games--Escape the Backrooms, Elderland, and the DreadX Collection 2 and 3--are confirmed to be Steam Deck-compatible (though playability may differ between the games in the DreadX Collections). Other titles in the bundle may also work just fine on Steam Deck, but they haven't been tested/confirmed by Valve.
