If you've been saving your hard-earned GTA cash for an Oppressor Mk 2, then I'm sorry to burst your bubble. You're going to be saving for a lot longer. The price has increased from $3 million to $8 million in an effort to make sure vehicles "better reflect their value to players".
If you haven't come across the Oppressor Mk 2 in GTA Online somehow, it's a flying bike with two machine guns and mounted missile launchers. It's a must-buy for anyone who likes to roam the map and kill everyone they come across, AKA griefers.

While the change appears on the surface to make it harder to get an Oppressor, thus making it harder to grief, fans are mixed on whether this is a positive change. Rahziir_skooma_cat raises a good point, "It's too late now all the tryhards have one already. All theyre doing is making it harder for new players to be evenly matched."
"The only way to 'truly' nerf this thing, as it pertains to raising the price, is to strip all oppressors of their missiles," Snoah_ replied, offering a suggestion on how to level the playing field for veterans and newcomers. "Now you have a flying bike. If you want the missile upgrade, you must pay the difference."
Something tells me Oppressor owners who like to spam missiles at everyone wouldn't be happy about suddenly losing those same missiles. Others are sticking to true and tried methods of avoiding the Oppressor Mk 2 since such drastic changes are unlikely - invite-only lobbies. You and your friends will be safe since no strangers can pop in and blow you up.
