Star Trek Online's Next Season, Unraveled, Hits PC on May 9th With a New Episode,

Star Trek Online ’s next season, Unraveled, opens on PC next week. The new chapter follows the recently-concluded Mirror Universe arc.

Unraveled follows that arc, and opens following the events of the “Terran Gambit” storyline. This time, you’ll get to go on a scientific, humanitarian mission with Captain Kuumaarke with what seems like a straightforward, if somewhat risky, mission –to stabilize the Na’kuhl sun. Of course, things aren’t going to go smoothly with this task. The cause of the disruption turns out to be a transdimensional Reality Vortex. 

If the whole Mirror Universe arc weren’t dangerous enough with its implications and the presence of different versions of characters, this time that Reality Vortex is messing with space-time throughout the universe. Never boring out there in Trek space, is it?

All of this will lead to conflict with the Tholians over the time-space disruptions and the vortex itself. They inform you that using time and space has actually created the vortices and that, well, it’s kind of your fault.

The new season update will bring a new episode, “Wish Upon a Star”, which features that mission with Captain Kuumaarke. The latestStar Trek actor to reprise their role in Star Trek Online is Kipleigh Brown as Kuumaarke. How to work with her in order to uncover the rest of the mystery behind all of those vortices that have been appearing, and of course once again to save the multiverse. 

Also in the update will be a new Task Force Operation, “Leviathan”. This is a five-player instance that will simulate a Trench Run exercise acrossthe powerful Other and is based on the Terran Gambit Arc if it had ended differently. There are also two new Patrols, also both based on the Terran Gambit story arc.
