First-Ever UK Pokemon Go Fest Will Be Held In London

Pokemon Go players will once again be given the chance to celebrate the game's anniversary via Go Fest this summer as the massively popular AR game turns seven. Hard to believe Pokemon Go has almost been around for seven years already, and even harder to believe Go Fest has never come to the UK during that period. That changes in 2023 as Niantic has confirmed Go Fest is coming to London's Brockwell Park

Reported by Eurogamer, this year's Go Fest begins on August 4 and runs through to August 6. While you will need a ticket to access Brockwell Park, where most of the unannounced research and activities will take place, there will be other things you can do throughout Greater London, some of which can presumably be accessed, played, and unlocked without needing to buy a ticket.

Even though Go Fest has a hub every year, it's a global event in which all players can participate. Not only will there be plenty to do on the aforementioned weekend even if you can't make it to London, there will likely be research and other stuff to do the world over. There will also be a Go Fest event in Osaka, Japan on the same weekend as London's, and then another event in New York between August 18 and August 20.

Niantic is yet to reveal what exactly this year's Go Fest theme will be, which new Pokemon will debut during it, and what exactly trainers will be tasked with doing over the course of the three days.
