Game Freak, known historically for being the developer of the long-running and beloved Pokemon franchise is making a new action-adventure IP. Published by Private Division, Project Bloom is being billed as an ambitious title that is a marked departure from what the Japanese developer is known for.
The announcement was made today by the two companies, releasing alongside a piece of concept art from the upcoming Project Bloom. The concept piece shows a lone figure wearing a large straw hat, robes and a sword strapped to their side amongst an old, gloomy forest.

No official release date or platforms were announced today, though the press release from Private Division this afternoon projects a launch in parent company Take-Two's Fiscal Year 2026.
