It's finally happening: an expansion titled is in development for . News regarding DLC content for FromSoftware's game has been anticipated since last year, after director Hidetaka Miyazaki said there was more to come to at TGA 2022.
But much like itself, the DLC and the titular shadow of the Erdtree remain much of a mystery, as FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have only announced the expansion's development with a few words, a piece of artwork, and nothing more.

That the DLC's title is suggests that the central structure in the main game will remain integral to the expansion and its story.
