Tech Deck Seen Using Goomba Likeness on Popular Skateboarding Toys - Hardcore Gamer
It’s not too unusual to see bizarre brand rip-offs from popular IPs this day in age at random little corner shops, but it might be a little bit more unique in this particular situation. Tech Decks are extremely popular skateboarding toys often seen amongst middle and high schoolers and have for years been a popular collectible with tons of patterns and accessories to collect to customize the individual items. This latest set available in stores has quite the interesting revelation however as it features the likeness of a Goomba, although perhaps not the one most people are immediately visualizing. In fact the Goomba head featured on this item is none other than the Goomba seen in the live action Super Mario Bros. film from 1993. Goombas in this film were large, bald monstrous looking creatures with beady little eyes, a tiny flat nose and tons of sharp little teeth. Something like this on a Tech Deck might have been missable by all except those who have seen the film a few time and have that weird little grin the Goomba makes ingrained in their mind, but it’s a truly bizarre reference indeed!
