Capcom has already been eager to share the record-breaking pace of their latest Resident Evil remake, with the 2023 title pushing three million copies in a mere two days and surpassing four million copies not long afterwards.
So it comes as little surprise that Resident Evil 4 is at the top of the NPD Group’s best-selling software charts for the month of March 2023. The other two March debuts to crack the top ten are both sports titles, with MLB The Show 23 debuting at third and WWE 2K23 coming in at seventh. Hogwarts Legacy, which appeared in second this month after topping the February charts, remains the best-selling game of the year so far, but Resident Evil 4 and MLB The Show 23 have already breached the top five at third and fourth respectively, alongside last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II at second and the Dead Space remake at fifth.
