Katana-Ra: Shinobi Rising looks to bring genuine ninja simulation to a Japanese-inspired cyberpunk universe. In Shinobi Rising players assume the role of a young shinobi who is tasked with unraveling a murder mystery and finding the perpetrator responsible for the death of an innocent child heiress. Players have a time limit of eight hours, during which they must decide whether to use stealth, engage in combat, or face a most glorious death.
Playing in real-time from the start at night on the outskirts of the Clan Kata village, to eight hours later when dawn breaks, we will need to find and decipher clues to the mystery. Players can mix various gameplay styles to fit their needs, but death has consequences. Dying advances time while your soul resurrects, so pick fights carefully. Working through a multi-tiered level of vertical and horizontal traversal, it will be important to explore outdoor and indoor areas of interest. Katana-Ra: Shinobi Rising will release on Steam on April 25.
