The fifth free content update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak arrives in-game today, adding a few more challenges for accomplished hunter to dig into as they wait for ‘The Last Additional Monster.” Specifically, today’s update adds two new monsters to the hunt: Risen Shagaru Magala and Amatsu. Also, two more Risen Elder Dragons are now available for Anomaly Research Quests, which works out well since the Anomaly Investigations cap has been raised as well.

Beyond these developments, fans can also expect changes to the Melding Pot, new Special Investigations and new Event Quests in the near future. Oh, and new monsters means new gear, and those who manage to take them down will indeed be rewarded with the materials and components needed to craft it. Monster Hunter Rise is available now on Switch and PC via Steam. It’ll be making it to PlayStation 4, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on April 28. Make sure to check out our review if you’re not yet up to speed with this one.
