Stuntfest has been in the works for a while and has shown great promise as a game that offers up many different kinds of extreme sports in one game – demolition derbies to races to insane rocketbelt stunt events. With a blend of Pilotwings in its scoring system and a fantastical concept of allowing so many different gameplay types in a single game, it stood out compared to anything on the market and felt very much like something you would see in a more experimental time in major game development – like the Dreamcast era.
Today, THQ Nordic dropped a new trailer and revealed that the game will be going to Steam Early Access on May 4. It will also be a free to play experience – so anyone with compatible hardware should be able to enjoy it fully with a controller. Everything about this concept looks like a winner and we’ll see how it pans out in May, as the dev team at Pow Wow wants to use Early Access as a way to make real-time improvements and see what’s working and not working.
