Indie developer Embers has finally launched its latest project today: a color-based action game titled “Strayed Lights.” It’s launching simultaneously across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch, and those interested will be able to pick it up for $24.99. As for why one would want to do so, check out the launch trailer below for at least one argument.
In Strayed Lights, players will start their journey as a newly-born spark of light which must strike-out on a quest for transcendence. As anyone might guess though, transcendence isn’t exactly an easy state to achieve, and doing so in Strayed Lights involves confronting massive creatures both within and without in order to purge raging emotions.
Clearing these encounters is going to require players to master the game’s fast paced combat system of changing colors, parries and counter-attacks. Perhaps it’ll feel familiar to those who’ve played Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice or Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty? Between fights, players will also be able to wander a large colorful world filled with ruins and lore to discover. Is doing so also necessary to ascend? Perhaps. More knowledge usually equates to more power after all.
