Earlier this month it was announced that Company of Heroes 3 would be launching on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 in May, but Sega and Vancouver-based developer Relic Entertainment didn’t share any footage of the game running on consoles. A few screenshots were the extent of what we were shown. Thankfully, they’ve now dropped a full Company of Heroes 3 console trailer. The video shows the game’s fairly impressive visual presentation has made the jump and that controlling the action with a gamepad shouldn’t be too much of a hassle. Looks about how you’d expect, featuring the radial menus Paradox Interactive have made standard in their strategy game console ports. Some aspects still look a bit finicky, but hopefully, players will be able to adapt with some practice.
Console pre-orders are now open and those who put their money down will get their hands on the Devil’s Brigade DLC pack, which includes solider and vehicle cosmetics inspired by the “first elite commando units of World War II.” Of course, there will be multiple editions of Company of Heroes 3 on console, including the $80 Digital Premium Edition that includes the game’s first expansion, and a $60 physical Launch Edition that offers a variety of goodies including a patch, map, and collector’s book.
