Silent Hill fans are roasting a new line of t-shirts, mouse pads, hoodies and caps based on Silent Hill 2 that comes from an official collaboration between Konami and Online Ceramics.
If there's one gaming series that's no stranger to controversial merchandise, it's Silent Hill. Before Konami finally confirmed that more was coming for the series, it gleefully revealed new bits of merchandise left right and centre, ignoring the fact that fans had been waiting more than a decade for something new. Thankfully, we're no longer waiting for the promise of more Silent Hill, but that hasn't stopped the latest line of merchandise from causing a stir.

This time around, the clothing range comes from a collaboration between Konami and Online Ceramics, who are known for their clothes being bold with massive text and colourful imagery - in the politest way possible, their clothing is reminiscent of the kind of thing that someone would make on WordArt, only with a price of $55 for shirts and $120 for hoodies.
Online Ceramics is pretty popular, so that approach is clearly working out for it, but it might not be the best fit for something as subtle and psychological as Silent Hill. In fact, Silent Hill 2 specifically is known as one of the most chilling and creepy horror games of all time, which makes chucking James' dead wife on a coffee mug a bit garish.
