Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to be a massive game- in more ways than one. Developer Respawn Entertainment is promising a denser and more sprawling adventure, and that’s going to be reflected in its file sizes as well, with the game set to require over 147 GB of storage space on the PS5 (and 155 GB on PC). Many will, of course, be purchasing physical copies of the game, though if you’re doing so on the PS5, you’ll still be required to make a download.
An image of the game’s physical copies was recently shared on Reddit, coming via New Zealand retailer Mighty Ape, and the game’s PS5 retail copy mentions above the age rating (in pretty small print at that) that the game will require a download.
Whether this means the entire game will require a download, with the disc just containing a launcher, remains to be seen. Either way, the game requiring downloads doesn’t exactly come as a big surprise, since given its size, the only way to avoid that would have been by putting it across multiple Blu-Ray discs.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is launching on April 28 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Pre-loads kick off on April 25.
