Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fans are discussing whether Cal Kestis should become a Grey Jedi in the third game in the Jedi trilogy, and they don't seem too fond of the idea.
For quite some time now, one of the most popular character archetypes in the Star Wars universe is the "Grey Jedi", a Force user that doesn't truly align themselves with either the Light side or the Dark. Popular examples of this include Ahsoka Tano (although never officially said), the Force Unleashed's Starkiller, and even Qui-Gon Jinn in some Legends material. Now, fans are discussing whether or not they want Jedi: Survivor's protagonist, Cal Kestis, to join the team. Spoilers for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor within, so don't read on if you haven't yet finished the game and care about being spoiled.

Although Star Wars fans have discussed pretty much every Force user under the sun becoming a Grey Jedi at one point or another, the reason why it's being talked about for Cal Kestis is because of the events in the second half of Jedi: Survivor. Not only does Cal give into the darkness at several points in the story (including through a new Dark Side time-slowing ability) but he also tells Merrin towards the end that the Jedi Order is gone and that he's going to do things his own way.
Considering how popular the term "Grey Jedi" has become over the past few years, you'd think that Star Wars fans would like that idea, but it seems that the majority of them are actually against it.
