Update: It was heavily rumoured towards the tail-end of last month, but now it's official: Autobot leader Optimus Prime will roll out in the latest season of Fortnite, which is set to get underway later this week.
We're still awaiting confirmation of whether or not he'll be able to transform, but we suspect if he can, that may create some balancing issues for Epic Games to address.
Original Story: Everybody's favourite Autobot will debut in the upcoming season of Fortnite, according to a couple of oft reliable sources. Optimus Prime, the Transformers GOAT and an inspiration to us all, is coming in Chapter 4, Season 3, according to both known Fortnite leakers HYPEX and Ambushments.
At this point, it's starting to feel like the well of memorable and nostalgic characters will run dry before Fortnite's stranglehold on our childhood memories is through. Are you looking forward to Prime's inclusion, and are there any other disguised robots you are hoping to make an appearance? Let us know in the comments section below.
