Despite having been released back in 2015, The Witcher 3 continues to be one of the best-looking open-world games ever made, as seen in a new 8K resolution video showcasing the game running with tons of mods.
The new video, which was put together by Digital Dreams, showcases the game running with the Immersive Lighting Mod version 2.2, the Beyond all Limits ray tracing ReShade preset, and over 100 other mods. The Immersive Lighting Mod, in particular, improves the game's visuals considerably, as the more subdued lighting works great in locations like Velen and Skellige while giving the Duchy of Toussaint a completely different feel, compared to the vanilla lighting system.
Late last year, The Witcher 3 made its debut on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S with the next-gen update, which added tons of new features and quality-of-life improvements as well as ray tracing support. While this new version of the game had some issues at launch, such as ray tracing performance, CD Projekt Red released multiple patches that fixed the biggest issues while adding more features, such as Intel XeSS support on PC.
The Witcher 3 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch worldwide. Learn more about the next-gen update by checking out Alessio's piece.
