Despite having been originally released during the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 era, Grand Theft Auto V continues to be one of the best-looking open-world games ever released, mostly thanks to mods that improve the realism of its visuals.
A new video put together by Digital Dreams shows the latest entry in the popular series running at 8K resolution with ReShade ray tracing, the QuantV 3D clouds, and the GTAV Real mod. The latter is especially interesting, as it attempts to transform Los Santos into Los Angeles with some excellent results. More information on this mod can be found on Patreon.
While modders continue to work on Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar Games is working on both new content for GTA Online and the next entry in the series. Unfortunately, very little is currently known about the new game, although we did get a sneak peek at it with some leaked videos of a very early build that did not do a great job showcasing how different Grand Theft Auto 6 will be from its successful predecessor.
Grand Theft Auto V is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
