Before the launch of the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon Forbidden West, the developers were making a big deal out of the new cloud tech that would be shown off in the game - that's literal clouds and not the mysteious nothingness that holds all our save data. In fact, these clouds were going to be so good that they're one of the big reasons why Burning Shores is only available to download on PlayStation 5 consoles. The PS4 simply can't handle how big and majestic these clouds are.
Now that Burning Shores is here, eagers fans have taken to the skies on their Sunwings to see exactly what Guerrilla Games was talking about, and boy those clouds do not disappoint. Not only has a thread on ResetEra cropped up, full of fans praising Guerrilla's efforts with these clouds, but you can also find plenty of fans sharing videos on the Horizon subreddit showcasing beautfiul moments in which Aloy glides through the skies and over the top of clouds on her Sunwing to create some truly captivating spectacles.

Everyone who looks at these videos have the same overall reaction, even those that haven't dived into the DLC just yet. Crossing Eden calls on PlayStation to investigate Guerrilla Games over the clear use of "black magic" to get these clouds looking as good as they do, while Kalentan says that just being able to fly through them is "so fucking cool". The ResetEra thread is full of similar comments, with one person even admitting that the clouds have sold them on actually buying the DLC.
