Playground Games and Microsoft have just released the Forza Horizon 5 High Performance Update across PC and Xbox, packing new content, features, and more.
Developer Playground provided details about the new content update last week, mentioning the Oval Circuit, improvements, and fixes as well as new high-performance cars, including the 2020 Lamborghini Huracán STO, the 2019 Porsche #70 Porsche Motorsport 935, the 2021 Audi RS 6 Avant, and the very satisfying 2021 Porsche Mission R (a shot of this car can be seen at the top of this post).
"Pioneering the incredibly exciting future of electrified Porsche GT4 race cars, the 2021 Porsche Mission R makes a clear statement by bringing together everything that the Porsche lineage has always set out to achieve and doing it with astounding performance numbers", Playground Games' blog post from last week about the Porsche Mission R reads. "While the car is proof of concept and won’t enter production, the vision behind the all-wheel drive, lightweight, and fully electric car has been to show how racecars could evolve over the next five to six years. Its two electric motors deliver over 800 kW (1,088 PS), which translates to 1,000 horsepower, and the car itself achieves 0-62mph in less than 2.5 seconds with an overall top speed of 186mph (300km/h)."
Aside from transforming the Stadium in the new Freeroam Oval Circuit, this update also adds four returning speed traps, two returning speed zones, PC-specific performance improvements, and support for Intel XeSS upscaling.
