After teasing that technically began a year ago, Zenith: The Last City’s Skyward Summit update is now live. This update is a huge one, adding an entire new continent, the Cyber Ninja class, also introduces PvP, overhauls combat, and so much more.
Ramen VR accompanied the release of the new patch with a letter to the community . With almost a year and a half since release, the team has commented on the present, some of the community’s feedback, and what to expect going forward.
This is Zenith: The Last City’s biggest patch since launch. Not only is there updated and overhauled early game content, there is new endgame content, brand new systems, new storylines, a whole bunch of bug fixes and issues resolved.
The game has added its third class, the Cyber Ninja. The Cyber Ninja is considered a fusion of magic and technology and will have all new sets of armor and weapons.
Skyland isn’t just a new zone, it is an entire new content. It’s a floating island that is full of places to explore and separate from anything you've seen in Zenith so far. There are new quests, new enemy types, new events, and additional stuff to discover. The update’s new life skills, mining and chopping wood, are available in Skyland. These will be usable to craft in new ways too. The new grappling hook you can get from the Skyland questline is also only usable in Skyland for now.
Ramen VR has overhauled the game's physics and updated combat overall. There are new combat settings, and several new mechanics available, including dodging, blocking, crouching, and even headshots. Also expect new enemy AI. This also aligns with the arrival of PvP. You will be able to challenge others to compete in a variety of game types via the menu that pops
