Horizon Forbidden West players have been digging into its new expansion, the Burning Shores DLC, which is proving a hit. The PlayStation 5 exclusive has been praised, from its volumetric clouds and new ability to fly above them, to the new gameplay additions and introduction of a certain character.
There will be some spoilers going ahead, reader, so beware. A certain new character has been making a big splash. This would be Seyka, who Aloy meets in the Burning Shores DLC, and played by newcomer Kylie Liya Page who provided the voice and mocap performance. Over on the Horizon subreddit fans have been cooing over the actress' glee at seeing herself on a TV as her character pops up in the game.

Kylie Liya Page is an actor, singer, and dancer who grew up in New York and is a graduate in musical theatre and drama, according to her website. That physicality no doubt aided her in her mocap performance for characters that inhabit the post-apocalyptic world of Horizon. And her character Seyka has a very striking look with that high ponytail giving her an instantly recognisable silhouette.

In the above video Page gets asked why the game's developers decided to make Seyka's hair like that. Page replies, "Because they were asking me, when they were doing face scanning, they were like 'what are the different hairstyles that you normally wear?' and I said, 'oh I always do like a really high pony[tail] it's kind of like a signature thing that I do' and then they gave her a high pony!"
